Happy Thursday everyone! I am back with a project I hope you will love (because I do). I was at Lowes the other day looking in the clearance section (first place I go in most stores) and I found these…
They are little mirrors made to fit inside of a ceiling medallion. While this would be very cute as a painted medallion mirror, I had different plans for them. I wanted to make a cluster of mirrors that would add to the decor of my room, not just the function. I made a trip to Hobby Lobby and was instantly inspired. Sitting there on the shelf staring me in the face was a roll of chevron burlap ribbon. You can never go wrong with burlap!! So on to creating…
First, cut the ribbon into strips about an inch wide and cut those strips into three parts until there is enough to go around three medallion inserts. The inserts come apart, which made this next step super simple.
Then, hot glue the ribbon to the outside edge of the insert. I tried to keep the ribbon the same length the whole way around. I wasn’t going for perfection, just a uniform look.
After that is done, just put the insert back together and hang where you want them. I made three, but the sky is the limit. This is a very simple and fast project. Here are some pictures taken after hanging them.
I hope you enjoyed this project. Thanks for stopping by! See you next time.
